Funny things are BACK!!!

Funny things that I used to do as a child are BACK!!! I thought this day would never come! However, the kids now-a-days are getting in trouble for the most famous things!

Indian Burns! We used to do this to every kid in the class. Now, I get a call from his teacher saying, "Trey Indian Burned someone today, and this is just unacceptable" LOL ha ha ha ha Its super funny to me!!!

The "London France Song"
I see London, I see France, I see "Mary's" underpants!!!!

Ha ha ha, Trey also got in trouble for saying this to a kid at school.

When I told Trey that his teacher called me and told me these things... He says, "Mom, you are the one that taught me the London France song."

Ha ha ha ha ha
He is RIGHT!
OOPS

Laughing,
Shea

Liar Liar, Pants on Fire.

Sooooooo...... Trey's teacher called me today and here is pretty much the conversation.

Scene: Trey and Momma are cleaning his room. The phone rings.....

Teacher: Hi, I'm calling you today to inform you of something that Trey has done.
Me: Ok, Hi Teacher, you've got my attention...
Teacher: A father has called me and told me that his daughter said Trey touched her inappropriately in the chest
Me: WHAT!!!!???? Please do explain.
Teacher: Well, no one saw it, but she did go home and tell her father that Trey touched her inappropriately.
Me: (voice turning more defensive and stern) Ummmm ok, so no one saw it, but you are telling me that this is something that my son DID?
Teacher: Yes, that's right.
Me:(voice growing even more stern and aggravated) How do you know? How do you know that the touch was inappropriate? How do you know he touched her at all?
Teacher: Calm down Mrs. Martinez. I am just calling you to inform you that you need to talk to Trey about touching.
Me: Could you please call that father and ask him to talk to his daughter about touching, and what is "ok" touching and what is "inappropriate" touching...?
Teahcer: I'm sorry, but I can't just call him and tell him what to talk to his daughter about.
Me: (same stern voice) So what would you call this phone call to me? You are calling me to tell me to talk to my son about inappropriate touching, so I only think it's fair that he talks to his child about the same issue. My son knows about inappropriate touching. His grandpa is a detective in Sex Crimes. Trey has asked him sevreal questions about what he does...."Grandpa, do you shoot people? Grandpa, do you arrest people? What do you do?"  Grandpa says, "Trey, I do not shoot people, and yes I arrest people, but I only arrest the people that touch others inappropriately. It is not OK to touch someone without their permission. Do you understand?" So, teacher, I am telling you that MY SON already knows about this topic, and this is why I am getting so defensive about it.
Teacher: Ok, I understand where you are coming from. I had no idea that you were so sensitive about this topic.
Me: (with a slight sarcastis voice) Me....Sensitive? Uhhhh, no.....It's society that is sensitive! This is a risky subject to be talking about. There is a very fine line here.
Teacher: Well, this is the same girl that went home and told her dad that Trey punched her in the face.
Me: (p.s. Trey did NOT punch her in the face, he pretended to, and then said SYKE! But this little girl told her dad that Trey punched her.) So, obviously this little girl exaggerates. You know what, Teacher, please only call me when an adult has seen an action happen. You calling me and telling me this shocking news, and then telling me that "no one saw it happen" is not OK in my book. I will talk to my child about this, and I will also talk to you on Monday.... Have a wonderful weekend.

As soon as I got off the phone with her, I asked Trey to show me exactly how he may or may not have touched her. I got down on my knees and said, "show me". With tears in his eyes...he hugs me from behind!

THATS IT!!!!  NOTHING MORE!!!!  A FREAKING HUG FROM BEHIND!!!!!!

What is this world coming to? My 8 year old son can't hug a girl without being accused of inappropriate touching?

Very aggravated,
Shea

Tired Babies...

Looooooooong day for both Trey and I. Mochi will lay ANYWHERE there is a blanket, so he joined the nap time.

Working at the carwash...working at the carwash yeah!

Another great day in Austin means another great day to play in the water. The boys love washing their trucks. I tried to help them and they shout "No Auntie Shea...sit down!" Geez boys...try not to be nice or anything....  So I just sit on the side lines and be the ref/photographer. They are ok with that.

They lined up their trucks and repeat over and over again....carwash, carwash, carwash....
Until I say..."Boys, we say something.....?"    and they fill in the blank..."one time!"
Another fill-in-the-blank I have for them is...
"We listen what....?"   and they say..."The first time!"
(No, I'm not a drill sargeant, but I do think they need to remember those rules and participate in saying them)

Gosh David....If looks could kill.

Can't forget about the WillWill

Trucks, Sunshine and Water...That's what little boys are made of.

Now that its warmer, we can finally play outside! There is a great pond in my neighborhood, so off to the pond we go! Oh the joy of feeding ducks and fish. Little kids LOVE this! We have some new neighbors that have children the same age as my little day twins, so a play date was arranged! Will and David, and our new play dates "I and B" had a great time.

Up and down, up and down, up and down.... never gets old to a 2 year old.

OOPS, too fast! Will said, "oh no.... crash smash...will will all wet"

So......off comes the clothes.

Look at that little cute thing!

Wet, muddy, and happy as a clam.

A night out for a special celebration.

One of the families that I nannied for invited Aurelio and I to her birthday celebration. I used to night nanny for her and then I transfered to keeping her triplets during the daytime...only once a week. Their triplets are the cutest things you've ever seen!!! Thanks B and B for a great celebration! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! You look AMAZING for having triplets 10 months ago!!! Geez, you look amazing period!!!

Me and the birthday girl.

Me looking rather strange, and yes, my husband is holding a butter knife. Why you ask?...I have NO IDEA!

Looks like Aurelio has one normal arm, and one strange arm! ha ha ha

Here are the lovely parents!

....and here are their BEAUTIFUL triplets!

Meet my mother in law.....

My mother in law is so funny. She doesn't mind acting dorky with me. Here are a few of our best moments.

Peacocks

After the Mount Bonnell hike, we swang by Mayfield Park to see some peacocks.

Mount Bonnell

The last time I went to Mt. Bonnell....I was pregnant with Trey...So i thought it would be nice to take him up and see how beautiful his city is. We did a lot of talking and had great one-on-one time. Trey is the coolest kid EVER! He says the funniest things, and has some quick "come-backs" in his cute little sarcastic voice. Getting several hours to talk to him one-on-one was great. He is not affraid to express what is going on in his life, and I love the fact that he likes to share his life with me. Meaning.... he tells me what is going on at school, the latest gossip on the playground, who isn't friends with whom anymore, issues he may have, and his hopes and dreams as an 8 year old boy. It is truly interesting to hear your 8 year old express their life to you. Advice....LISTEN to them! It's a beautiful sound!

102 stairs going up......

He kept saying, "this is so peaceful"

Hello Austin Sky Line!

Silly boy.... pretending to meditate. LOL. He was making the "hmmmmm" sound.

Fun with shadows

See Trey's dog? Pretty good huh....?

Watch out Karate Kid....

LOVE my city!

Here, he was picking out our next home. He said, "Holy Cow, look at that house. It's HUGE! Mom, how come we don't live in a house like that? (Me, because it's a 5 million dollar home) Trey... Well, I am going to start saving my money so that I can buy that house when I become an adult. Just think mom, if we lived there, I could come home from school, do my homework, and then go ride a jet-ski....wouldn't that be great?!"
Dream BIG Trey, Dream BIG!

See me?

All of the flowers are starting to bloom. Had to take some pics.

Love on a rock.

The wind was blowing pretty hard, so Trey wanted to "fly".

Trey: "You fly momma"
Me: "No problem son"
(Check out Trey's picture taking abilities....not to shabby!)

Is he just not the cutest? Geez.....

More shadow fun...

Another impersonation.... Michael Jackson!

XOXO
