First Sleep over...

Trey BEGGED me to call his friend's mom and ask her to let him spend the night. Trey has never really spent the night out before, so I was a little skeptical on whether or not his friend's mom would say "yes" as well. The kids are only 8, so I guess it's around the time that kids are going to start staying over at other families houses. Well....his parents said YES.... And Trey was thrilled.

During the evening, they had a baseball game, so I just brought the boys home after the game. Getting home at 9pm doesn't really allow the boys to do too much before it's time for bed. They had a specific bedtime because we had pictures to go to the next morning. All they really did was take a shower and eat pizza while watching The Sandlot. They chose some ice cream and off to bed they went. They wanted to sleep way up high in Trey's loft bed.....

In the morning, they requested pancakes with whip cream.

With time to spare before going to get the team pictures taken...Trey brought his electric go-cart out. Billy had never been on one, and it looked to me as if he REALLY enjoyed it.

After baseball pictures, we went to Founders Day in Dripping Springs. Aurelio, his dad, and his uncle have a catering business named Pit Smokers. They also enter their food into cook-offs. This year we only got 12th place out of 127 for Ribs. We didn't place in chicken, chili, beans, salsa or chef's choice. Bummer! Billy and his parents came along with us! We let the boys have freedom for once, and let them ride around the Founders Day on their bikes.

They rode Moby Dick. (I think they were both a little scared, but didn't want to show it in front of each other)

Then they chose this glider thing.... it started off nice and slow, but then....it started going SUPER FAST. My camera couldn't even keep up with it! Brave little 8 year olds!

Cute boys huh?.....

To end the day, Trey got his SECOND huge snow cone!

Baseball Pictures

Trey and his team took pictures on Saturday morning.  Here are a few of the boys just waiting in line for their professional picture (which is NEVER very good).

Trey's team pic...from my camera about 100ft away. The "Professional Photographers" get upset if you whip in there and use your own camera...So I attempted to snag one anyway... he he he

Trey is the bottom left...in case you can't find him.

Now that Kona is all spayed and healed...We try to take her on field trips every chance we get. She acts stupid most of the time...but she is getting better with every outing.

Still practicing with the leash....

Trey stole my camera.... These are the photos that are left behind.

This is Billy, Trey's dear friend that is on his baseball team this year. Every season, Trey bonds more with one of the boys than the others....this year it is Billy. He is such a sweet kid!

Breakfast with the Governor

Governor Perry's 2010 campaign is sponsoring NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte's car at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Bobby Labonte, #71, will be driving the Governor Perry 2010 car at Texas Motor Speedway, which adds $300,000,000 to the region's economy every year. In anticipation of this exciting event, the Rick Perry #71 car will be touring the Great State of Texas this week, and it's coming to a stop near you!

Well, we went to El Arroyo to see him and his racecar... The twins are REALLY into racecars and we (The mommy and I) thought they would love going....well, turns out they both woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. They didn't want to even touch the car, and were pretty cranky the entire trip. Well.....I was NOT cranky!!! As you can see, I was obviously smiling!

"Toot-Toot"

That's the sound of me tooting my own horn!!! One of my nanny families has a blog as well, and I just love going to it and seeing new pictures of her gorgeous triplets! I was their night nanny, and she posted the SWEETEST thing about me...and my services!!! I've copied and pasted the wonderful words that she said about me. Thanks to Angela and John for being so sweet.......and having such ADORABLE triplets

"John and I both agree, that if we had to do it all over again (the first year) and we could only spend money on ONE thing, we would spend it on a night nanny for those first few months.

And we had an AWESOME one!

For one week, we had Kate home alone, and that gave us a taste of how easy it would be to only have one! We thought we were prepared for the other two a week later, but those first hours, when we brought Willa and Oliver home, were chaos. Kate was on a four hour feeding schedule, and the other two were on a three hour schedule, so everyone was eating and sleeping at different times, and we needed to pay attention to our older son occasionally. Luckily we had arranged for our night nanny to come that first night.

When we came down the next morning, all was calm and peaceful. All three babies were now on a four hour feeding schedule, on a schedule that worked for us and let us get our then four year old off to school before babies had to eat, all of the baby laundry was washed and folded, AND our house had been reorganized.

Our nanny came four nights a week and stayed with us until the babies were three months old and sleeping through the night - yes, she had them sleeping 10-12 hours a night by three months!

I truly believe that you can do anything if only you have enough sleep! Those nights when we could go upstairs and shut our door and know we had eight uninterrupted hours to sleep and not worry about babies, were the best nights ever. And worth every penny.

So, if you are in the Austin area and are looking for a night nanny, I would be happy to pass on her e-mail (Thank you, Shea!)."

I have this family under my "blogs that I am following".....go look at how sweet their trio really are!
They are under  "Oh my God, you poor thing"
The reason she chose this as her blog title.... She had a 4 year old little boy already, and started "showing" with her pregnancy, people would ask her, "When is your new baby due?"  and she would say, "My triplets will be due in ......" The reaction she got EVERY time was...... Oh my God, you poor thing!   LOL   I think that's such a cute story!
