Happy Birthday Aurelio

Today is Aurelio's 29th Birthday!!!!!
This is his present from me... But, it comes with a little story.
When Aurelio was 18, he was thinking about signing up for the Airforce, but decided not to go because he knew he wouldn't be able to do what he really wanted to do...which was FLY AN AIRPLANE. His eyesight was nowhere near "pilot ready". Well, I did some research and decided that this was the best gift for him.

About the plane:
The plane above is an AT-6 "Texan". The North American T-6 Texan was one of the most widely used trainer aircraft for Allied pilots who flew in World War II. The Navy referred to it as the SNJ, the British Royal Air Force called it the Harvard, and the Army Air Corps referred to it as the AT-6. The AT-6 (advanced trainer) was designed to train pilots who were transitioning from the basic trainer to first-line tactical aircraft (fighter aircraft). The T-6 was designed to give the pilot the best training for all types of military flying, from ground strafing to aerial dog fighting. It was outfitted with equipment such as bomb racks, cameras, guns, and instruments. The T-6 has been involved in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. The AT-6 Texan is one of the most important aircraft of all time; because of the many roles it has played in our history. A total of 15,495 T-6’s were built in the nine-year production that ran until 1944.

Aurelio will learn to "fly" this exact plane with a pilot helping him in the seat behind his. She will be telling him what to do through headphones. He will also be doing Aerobatics. He'll do loops, barrel rolls, nose dives, spirals, fly upside down.....YIKES!!!
Needless to say, he is so excited about his birthday gift! He won't be flying until late February or early March, so be on the lookout for his personal video and pictures!

Our New Home

Soooooooooooo, Aurelio and I have been looking for houses online for awhile now trying to decide what builder we liked. We ended up choosing Streetman Homes. We found out that Streetman Homes are a totally "green" builder and have so many other great things about them. We then began looking for neighborhoods that had Streetman Homes. We planned on buying a house near February or March, so we thought we would go ahead and start looking. We found a particular home in Belterra off HWY290 and decided to go look at it for "kicks and giggles". We fell in LOVE with the house and decided to put an offer on it! WHAT!!!!!!!! We didn't intend to go buy a house this weekend, but it turns out that's what we did! Here are a few pictures of the house. For those of you in my family.....PawPaw's house is off the same street. When coming down 290, you come to a light...PawPaws neighborhood is to the Right and ours is to the Left. We are right across the highway from each other! I called him and told him the news, and he says he is ready for dinner dates with us! Yay!!!!! We are supposed to close on the house December 12th, so if anyone wants to come over and help install blinds and have an unpacking party....Just let us know!!! =)

Baseball

The Fall Baseball Season is now over... Trey's team, the Lugnuts, got 4th place overall! That's GREAT! There will be a season party on Sunday where the kids will get their trophies, and they are so excited. Trey can't wait to sign up for baseball during the actual season, he says he's ready to be number 1.

He's playing for a new league, Oak Hill Baseball, and has improved so much since last year. The coaches are so much more involved than the coaches from the other leagues he's played in. The rumor is....Once you've played at Oak Hill, there's no turning back.... Its one of the best leagues but also one of the most competitive leagues. I was "Team Mom" for the Lugnuts this year and it wasn't as bad as I thought, I think I may even volunteer for the next season...now that I know all of the rules that go with that role.

Gov Perry

I did a Republican ad with Gov. Perry in September. I acted as his waitress at Ironworks BBQ. He is so handsome...I swear he reminds me of my dad.... I didn't dare tell him though! =)

Baseball Boy!

Trey and his baseball team, The Lugnuts, are entering the finals! They are now competing for the "Biggest Trophy" as Trey says.
He has a busted lip, but he's still a cutie-pie!
Up next to bat.
My little sunflower seed boy.
Here he is obviously not paying attention to the runner in the background!

None of the Parenting Books told me this....

So........... Trey and his class were learning about "Community Helpers". They took a trip to the Fire Station and Post Office to learn about everything that they do to help our community. When the kids got back, they were supposed to draw a classroom map and show how they would escape in an emergency.....instead, Trey drew this!!!! It reads...Big Pair of Saggy Boobies!! AHHHHHH....... WHAT THE H#LL was he thinking???? It truly is funny, but he got in a lot of trouble by the school and his parents. He said he didn't know what he was thinking. He says he will never draw "private parts" ever again.

Guess this is part of parenting! Wow, just what do you say about this???

Everyone asks what i "really" do, so here are a few pics of my job.

Here are my beautiful triplets that I keep 4 nights a week. They are such good babies. They are already sleeping 8 hours at night, but W still likes to wake up at 2, 3, and sometimes 4am just to say Hi.

I take care of them 4 days a week. They are the sweetest boys EVER. They love their "Auntie Shea" so much and it just makes my heart melt.

Vegas Baby!

Aurelio and I went to Vegas for his best friend's wedding. We stayed at the MGM Grand and it was beautiful! We didn't do much gambeling, but I kind of got addicted to the roulette table. I would do great....and then I wouldn't. Aurelio said that I broke the "golden rule" and kept on playing after I had already doubled up. Oh well, it was fun. That was my first time gambeling other than just throwing money away in the slot machienes. Aurelio played a little bit of blackjack, although he would have liked to play poker....

Washington, D.C.

The Trip: I went to Washington, D.C. with the family I work for. We flew into Baltimore and drove to Washington where we stayed at the beautiful Willard Hotel right across from the Washington Monument and the White House.

The Flight: We flew with the the twins, W and D , who are now 16 months old and acted like pros on the airplane. They didn't cry at all. Everyone on the plane was soooo surprised when we landed and saw that there were two babies on their flight. They said, "I have never seen such good babies on an airplane before".

The White House: We got to go to the White House to meet President Bush. We had to be there at 9am because he was honoring the USA Olympians in the Rose Garden beforehand. We got to see the entire ceremony! All of the Olympians were there wearing their USA athletic suit. Michael Phelps and the rest of the swimmers, the entire women's and men's gymnastics team, volley ball...... everyone! It was so neat to see this ceremony. Afterwards, we were allowed to meet them, however, Michael Phelps disappeared FAST! I guess he decided he was too big and bad to meet us "normal people". I got a picture with Shawn Johnson (gold medal gymnast)....who is a lot shorter than I imagined. She didn't even come up to my boobs!

After the ceremony, it was time to meet the President. There were so many secret service there guarding the white house... I know he is the most powerful man in the United States, but you guys just have NO idea how guarded this place is.....WOW! We got to see the Oval Office and talk with him for quite awhile. He is actually a very handsome man, and was extremely nice. He was running after the twins and even talking "baby talk" to them...it was rather sweet to see. D was licking most of the windows in the Oval Office, and the President didn't even care. President Bush was telling us about the decorations in the office, and how the First Lady gets to design the HUGE rug in the office. Mrs. Bush designed the rug a cream color with yellow sun bursts coming from the center....just as he was telling us that, D also decided to lay on the rug and proceed to lick/eat it. President Bush just laughed and said, "Don't worry about it". He signed a baseball for Trey and gave him a bookmark off of HIS desk, and a pack of M&M'S with the White House and Presidential logo on it.

Washington was fun, but very short. I would love to go back when there is more time to do things around the city.

When I got home, I gave Trey his baseball from the President and showed him the picture of Bush and mommy holding the baseball. Trey said, "Hey.....that guy looks familiar. His picture is hanging in my classroom at school" Funny kid! I told him, "that's the President". He said, "of the united states?" WOW. Ohhh to be 6 again!
