How's the weather?

Here is a quick pic of the lightning storm in the backyard tonight! How beautiful!!! There was only lightning INSIDE of that one cloud....strange.

The dentist

Trey had to get 4 teeth pulled on Friday. He did an amazing job!
We got to the dentist at 8am and Trey took his sedation medication. The dentist told us to take a seat and she would be with us in about an hour, so the medicine could take effect. She said that it would literally just "hit" him. Sure enough, in about 45 min...he just couldn't hold his head up anymore. I carried him to the back and she began the extractions.....
First off, his dentist is a mom that I used to nanny for... Mary Fuselier. She has 5 year old triplet girls plus another girl that she had 3 years after the triplets. WOW, talk about a busy lady!!! Dr. Fuselier is an amazing Pediatric Dentist and I would recommend her a million times!!!
She was so gentle and sweet to Trey! He had the sedation medicine, plus the gas he was breathing, plus he was able to watch a movie through these sunglasses things.... He was SET!
The reason for all of this is OVERCROWDING! There is just not enough room in his mouth for all of his permanent teeth. The 4 teeth that he had pulled were his "i teeth" or "fang teeth". You naturally loose those teeth around age 12, but we simply couldn't wait that long, they needed to come out now to give him the space he needed.
Here he is when we got home. Still completely out of it and resting like a baby!

Here's a pic of the bottom teeth! Ewwww.....

...And here's a pic of the top teeth! Ewwww.....
Everything went perfect! He got home and couldn't wait to put the 4 teeth under his pillow... The tooth fairy gave him a $10.00 bill!!! Holy Cow! She must have known how brave he was during his visit to the dentist! He has now lost a total of 12 teeth!!!! Way to go TREY!

Track and Field Day!

Ohhhh the joy of Track&Field Day at school! I remember when I was in elementary school, I always looked forward to that day. I never dreamed that I would be there cheering on my own son at his elementary school! Trey did an outstanding job. You are only competing against your own class. There are 15 kids in his class, and you only get a ribbon if you come in first, second or third. Here are the final results!
Baseball Throw-First Place (over 25yards)
Basketball Throw-First Place (made 100% of baskets)
Chin-up's-First place (he did 1min and 31 seconds of pull-up's)
Soccer Relay Race-First Place
3-legged Race-First Place
Marshmallow Relay Race-First Place
Water Balloon Toss-Second Place
Long Jump-Third Place
Beanbag Toss-Third Place
Hula-Hoop-Third Place
Trey's teacher is Mrs. Couch, so they were the Couch's Champions!
3-Legged Race
Another boy in the class did not have ANY ribbons, so Trey paired up with him hoping that they would win first place so that the other boy could have a ribbon. Trey and him DID win first place and that little boy was so happy to have a blue first place ribbon! What a sweet thing for Trey to do!
This was the 25yard dash....Trey did not get first-third place here..but still did good.

Hula-Hoop!!!! I didn't even know he could hula-hoop. I thought for sure, "oh, crap...he's definitely not going to get a ribbon here!" And he got up there and tossed that hula-hoop around, and around like a little pro! So well that he got third place!

Marshmallow Relay Race. 4 kids per team, and each had to put the fee hand on top of their head while going as fast as they could. Here he is actually dropping the marshmallow, but his team still got first place!

Jump Rope. He did really well at jump roping but not the top three. I think he got fourth place. First-third place went to three little girls....Trey doesn't have a jump rope at home, but I think that is a purchase that we will get for him this summer, considering he's pretty good at it!

This is Trey and D. I brought my nanny children to come cheer Trey on as well. Trey was so happy to see them!
