W and D

These are my twins that I keep during the day. They are getting SO big and SO cute! These are their spring photos that were too cute to pass up. Boy I tell you, it is so dificult to get twin 22month old boys to sit still during a picture.

Founders Day in Dripping Springs

Aurelio, Me, Aurelio's dad, Erma and Uncle Joe participated in the 2009 Founders Day Cook-off. Aurelio made the brisket, and the chili... Aurelio's dad made the chicken, fajitas and the beans... Erma made the salsa... Uncle Joe made the ribs... And I was the cheerleader! Although, I know exactly what I am going to do next year...be the margarita judge!!! You have to taste several margaritas, so I figure I am a great candidate for this job. :) I think there were 121 cooks...No one placed, but it was a lot of fun, and we all are excited about next year. Each item had a specific turn in time and day. Aurelio had to get there at 3:30am to start the brisket so that it would be ready to turn in by 4pm. Yikes!
Here is the chicken, brisket and the ribs all cooking at once.

This is the "Team Name" that the two Aurelios thought of and made!

Easter

Easter was very simple this year. My cousin Brittany and I went on an Easter egg hunt with the twins that we nanny. It was Governor Rick Perry's Easter egg hunt. Since the Governor Mansion is still being repaired from the fire, he had it at the Pease Mansion in Tarrytown. It looks almost identical to the Governor's Mansion. The twins had fun and really got the hang of the actual hunt. It was SO HOTT that day, but it all turned out well.
Trey went to our neighborhood hunt on Saturday morning where there were thousands of eggs. After that, we went with another set of twins that I nanny for, to their church egg hunt. There they had Easter stories, arts and crafts, and then an actual hunt at the end. The twins older brother, Erich, was there too, so the boys had a great time.

The Easter Bunny showed up!

This is a field in our neighborhood. Can you see all the eggs?

This is one of Trey's friends, Jordan. She is the SAME age as Trey and are in the same class at school...look how TALL she is.
