Trey's Birthday Party

Trey had a Spongebob Birthday! It was super successful, but kind of stressful! There were so many kids there, and half of them I didn't even know. We invited all of our new neighbors, and all of the new kids on his baseball team. My goal was to get to know everyone better, but I was constantly running around trying to be a great host, so I didn't get a chance to chat with everyone. The kids had a blast...and I think the parents did too. We rented a Spongebob moonwalk along with Spongebob himself! He was 6 1/2 feet tall, and actually sounded like Spongebob! What a great surprise for the kids! The best part was watching 28 kids decorate their very own cupcake and watch sprinkles pour all over my tile floor! They all got a candle to blow out as well! Trey's 7th birthday was a huge success!

The moonwalk was AWESOME!

...Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to you...

Make a good wish Trey!

The House is DONE!!!

After weeks and weeks of painting, re-arranging, put this here, put this there.... the house is DONE!! Our pockets are bare, but at least we can just live in our fully furnished house! We have a few light fixtures to change, and a few more pieces of artwork to buy, but nothing else really. Here are a few pictures of the house. These were taken at night, so they might be a little dark, but still....We are so proud of finally having a house that we LOVE!! Thanks again to all who have helped us along the way!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!!!!!!

A BIG.....HUGE.......ENORMOUS
THANK YOU
goes out to the best painting team in Austin! We had so much help and never could have done it with out you! Mom, Tim, Kimmy, Britt, AJ, Arianna, Erma, Aurelio Sr., My hubby, and Me! We had this team of people AROUND THE CLOCK for three days!!!! Thanks to all of you, the new house is painted and ready to be lived in! Even though we were so tired of painting....it was still fun!

Trey's New Room

Now that we finally have our house...Trey gets the room he has always wanted! A Graffiti Room!!!! Different I know, but he loves everything about it. He has a loft bed with a "homework station" underneath. He has his own desk and filing cabinets. One wall is completely done in graffiti and the others are painted red and grey. Alvin, a "professional graffiti artist", came and designed him a wall. Trey loves skeletons, skulls, skateboards, and he is quite the fashion kid. He enjoys several brands, such as... Hurley, Fox, DC, Ed Hardy, Flip and Volcom, so Alvin put the logos on his wall as well. We all love the wall, especially Trey! He really did use spray paint, which is crazy to me because of all the detail he was able to do...... I'll post more photos when the rest of the room is finished.

It pays to do the right thing!

On Tuesday morning, after night nannying, I decided to swing into Starbucks for a "second wind". It is a brand new Starbucks that has only been open for a week... As I was in the drive-through line, I saw a Wendy's Happy Meal bag in their beautiful landscaping. I kept staring at it thinking how awful for someone to throw it the bushes when there is a trashcan 10ft away. Since there was three cars in front of me anyway, I decided to jump out of my car, pick it up, and throw it in the trash. As soon as I picked up the happy meal bag, I saw a $5.00 bill underneath it!!! "WOW!!! ... It's my lucky day!" It was then my turn to pay for my coffee, so when I pulled up to the window, I handed the guy the $5.00 bill along with my debt card and told him to put the cash in the tip box and to put the coffee on the card. He had a HUGE smile on his face.... He said, "I have been here since 5am and NO ONE has picked up that happy meal bag. I thought it would be neat to put cash under it so whoever did decide to pick it up would get a little reward...and instead of you keeping it, you put it in our tip jar." He then handed me my debt card back along with my coffee and said, "no payment needed". That made my entire morning! It just goes to show....It pays to Pay it forward!!!
