Seattle Day 5

Got up around 9 again...and headed to the Pikes Market for breakfast. It was only three blocks or so, so we walked. The closer we got to the market, the more it smelled like fish. I have never been to anything like this before. The only reference I have is watching "The Real World-Seattle" on MTV. There were men in rubber aprons chanting meat and fish chants, tossing fish over the counter, spinning around with the fish and practically putting on a show. Crab, lobster, oysters...you name it, it was there. There were flowers everywhere. There were huge bundles of flowers for 5 or 10 dollars!!! I mean huge. These bundles would cost close to 45 bucks in Austin. I couldn't believe it! And the produce...there was fruit and veggies everywhere. Huge, fresh fruits and veggies.

We went to the restaurant to have breakfast, and it was amazing. I had a breakfast sandwich...and it was Divine. Fresh everything. (hate to say this, but everything on that sandwich was organic...and it DOES make a difference in taste). Wow! While eating on the third level of (restaurant) we could look over the bay area where all the cruise ships would dock and also all of the cargo boats would come and go. The boys loved it!

We then headed to the bus stop to catch a ride to the Science Museum. I sure wish Austin had something like this...it was amazing. So much to do at this place.

First, we went to the IMAX theater to see "Sea Creature". It was the boys first movie ever. William did great, and David was a little ansie, but still made it through the entire thing. Then, we went to see some of the exhibits. They had some really cool things for Trey's age...wish he could have seen it...but the boys loved all the other things they had there. We really wanted to go to the butterfly museum, but ended up stopping at several little exhibits along the way. The butterfly museum was amazing. There were so many species of butterfly flying around. Some would land on you and some would just flutter right in front of your face for several seconds. There were some that were as big as my hand, and some that were tiny! One landed on my hand. Will didn't really like it that much, but when I put it on baby Cate, Will started laughing.

I went to the bathroom real quick, and these were posted on the walls....gross, but interesting.

Outdoor water exhibit.

Dinos!!!

Will also wanted to hold a Madagascar hissing cockroach. His momma almost threw up right there! She hates bugs, especially cockroaches.

Finally, the butterflies!

In the taxi, headed back to the hotel. Tired boys.

While boys were napping, the mom and I decided to go back to Pikes Market for some doughnuts, and more looking around.

I really wanted to toss a fish to a meat boy...so I did. A 30lb king salmon. The meat boy made our fish make-out! Hahaha...

A high-five from the king salmon tail....juice went everywhere....yuck.

Saw this in a window, made me laugh. It's some kind of exercise equipment.... looks fishy.

This was in a random window.... kinda freaky...a baby is growing out of this lady's head.

This guy was awesome... Hey, he had a paying client, so maybe he does well out on the bay.

It reads: Social Astrology Reading $2.00. Life Path, Love Matches. Studying since 1995. Pikes Place Park 7-days from 12 noon- 6:00pm.

A baby onesie I thought was super cute.

The Sleepless in Seattle Boat House is in this bay...couldn't pin point it, but its in there.

We had a blast in Seattle!!! Can't wait to take Trey and Aurelio.
