Easter

Easter was very simple this year. My cousin Brittany and I went on an Easter egg hunt with the twins that we nanny. It was Governor Rick Perry's Easter egg hunt. Since the Governor Mansion is still being repaired from the fire, he had it at the Pease Mansion in Tarrytown. It looks almost identical to the Governor's Mansion. The twins had fun and really got the hang of the actual hunt. It was SO HOTT that day, but it all turned out well.
Trey went to our neighborhood hunt on Saturday morning where there were thousands of eggs. After that, we went with another set of twins that I nanny for, to their church egg hunt. There they had Easter stories, arts and crafts, and then an actual hunt at the end. The twins older brother, Erich, was there too, so the boys had a great time.

The Easter Bunny showed up!

This is a field in our neighborhood. Can you see all the eggs?

This is one of Trey's friends, Jordan. She is the SAME age as Trey and are in the same class at school...look how TALL she is.

Spring means...BASEBALL!

This Spring, Trey is on the Oakland A's! He has a great team and a great coach! They are undefeated as of now... Keep your fingers crossed! For some crazy reason...it has been SO cold in the evenings! Let's root the A's on, and if anyone wants to come see a game, just let me know and I'll send you the upcoming dates.

Aurelio and his flight!

So... I got Aurelio a "fly for a day" birthday present last December. He had to wait until March to fly, and he was very excited when the days grew closer. We got to the Taylor airport around noon, and within 45 min, he was up in the air! He flew an AT-6 Texan and did ALL of the aerobatics that came with it. He had a blast and was thrilled to experience 4G's, which makes your body feel 6 times heavier.
The handsome pilot!
Gettin' ready.

All aboard.....
Aurelio giving a GO!
...and he's off...
Bye honey!
Landed! Whew... A thumbs up.

Trey's Birthday Party

Trey had a Spongebob Birthday! It was super successful, but kind of stressful! There were so many kids there, and half of them I didn't even know. We invited all of our new neighbors, and all of the new kids on his baseball team. My goal was to get to know everyone better, but I was constantly running around trying to be a great host, so I didn't get a chance to chat with everyone. The kids had a blast...and I think the parents did too. We rented a Spongebob moonwalk along with Spongebob himself! He was 6 1/2 feet tall, and actually sounded like Spongebob! What a great surprise for the kids! The best part was watching 28 kids decorate their very own cupcake and watch sprinkles pour all over my tile floor! They all got a candle to blow out as well! Trey's 7th birthday was a huge success!

The moonwalk was AWESOME!

...Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday to you...

Make a good wish Trey!

The House is DONE!!!

After weeks and weeks of painting, re-arranging, put this here, put this there.... the house is DONE!! Our pockets are bare, but at least we can just live in our fully furnished house! We have a few light fixtures to change, and a few more pieces of artwork to buy, but nothing else really. Here are a few pictures of the house. These were taken at night, so they might be a little dark, but still....We are so proud of finally having a house that we LOVE!! Thanks again to all who have helped us along the way!
